Wycliffe Hall Forum

Historical evidence points towards Jesus' bodily resurrection; but you can't thereby compel people to accept something so intrinsically unlikely. You need to grasp the biblical view of creation and new creation to see why and how it makes sense. One of the best reasons for accepting that worldview is when the church is living as the small working model of new creation — something just as unlikely as the resurrection, and for the same reason.

N.T. Wright has been fascinated by the Resurrection all his adult life. His book, The Resurrection of the Son of God, makes the most rigorous case for the physical resurrection of Jesus. He has thought through the implications of the resurrection for Christian hope in his hugely influential Surprised by Hope, and its implications for what it is to be human and what atonement is in The Day the Revolution Began. Join us at the 2025 Wycliffe Hall Forum to hear him share new insights, with additional input from Revd Dr Michael Lloyd, Dr Kira Moolman Pettit, Revd Dr Oliver Wright and Revd Dr Jonathan Brant.
