Mark Turner is the Hall's Bursar with responsibilities for finance, strategy, legal, governance and supporting services. He was previously the Bursar at Birkenhead School in the Wirral for 13 years, and spent a year as a student in the Wycliffe community before joining the staff team.
Many years ago he studied law at Magdalen College then joined the Police Service (West Mercia). He served there in various capacities including leading on Criminal Justice Support over three counties and then becoming the Divisional Commander for Herefordshire. His last role in policing involved bringing two police forces together in a strategic alliance. He also co-ordinated his organisation's Christian Police Fellowship for much of his 20 years' service there.
In the church he has also undertaken a variety of roles including those of Treasurer and Churchwarden having previously been a youth group leader and fellowship group leader with his wife Sian.
Sian oversees many schools in the North of England while their son, David, recently graduated from Oxford (Business and Management) and is currently awaiting a joining date for the Police Service himself. Mark enjoys cricket, music and has a variety of Playstations.
