Peter came to Wycliffe Hall in 2017 after previous teaching stints in London and Cambridge, including ten years as the Sir Kirby Laing Senior Lecturer in New Testament, a joint appointment between Tyndale House and the Faculty of Divinity in the University of Cambridge – probably the best University in the country. Famous for his fastidious tidiness, stylish dress sense, attention to deadlines and quirky sense of humour, Peter remains excited that his sins have been forgiven in/with/through/by Christ crucified – ‘who loved me and gave himself for me’. He is married to Fiona and has two teenage children. His current research looks at the role of the letter carriers in Paul’s epistolary communication.
