Venue Hire

Located in the North Oxford conservation area, next to the University Parks and a 15 minute walk to the centre of Oxford, Wycliffe Hall offers a friendly and welcoming venue for residential conferences or one-day events during university vacations.

The main Hall occupies two of the original buildings from the Norham Manor Estate with extensions built between 1890 and 1920, including a Chapel noted for its architecture and a dining room (now lecture room) in the style of a chapel.

All facilities, including meeting space, accommodation and dining facilities are located on the main college site, along with some parking, available for use by visitors.

Function Rooms

Wycliffe Hall offers function rooms of various sizes suitable for different events.  The Lower Common Room is a large, light room with a decorative fireplace and tall windows, making it ideal for buffet lunches but also with blinds to enable easy viewing of the projection screen for lectures.  For a more traditional feel, the wood-panelled Lecture Room is perfect for meetings and private functions.

All meeting rooms contain projection facilities.

Accommodation

Overnight stays are available for up to 85 visitors, in standard single and twin student accommodation.  Shared bath and shower rooms are located near to the rooms, some of which have their own washbasins.  Guests can relax in the common room or enjoy Wycliffe’s gardens and the nearby University Parks.

Unfortunately, there are no lifts in the Hall and no step-free access to the buildings.

Catering

Most meals are served in the Talbot Rice Dining Hall, with its traditional long tables and benches, opening onto the Hall’s private garden.  Smaller groups can choose to have a working lunch in the meeting room.

All meals are freshly prepared in the on-site kitchen.  Conference delegates enjoy a cooked English breakfast, 2 course lunch and 2 course dinner, served from the counter.

Location

Wycliffe Hall is 10 minutes from the train and bus stations and within walking distance of the centre of Oxford.
